VPC Route Table

The VPC Route Table tab displays the details of each VPC Route Table.

  • Route Table - Click on this dropdown menu to select a Route Table to view.

  • Route Table ID - This VPC’s route table identifier.

  • Associated Subnets - The subnet(s) associated with this route table. Egress traffic from the virtual machines of this subnet will be routed by the subnet’s associated route table.

The table below displays each route and its information.

Column Description

Route

The destination IP address range. This route table provides a forwarding path for any traffic within this range.

Target

The ID of the nexthop device the egress traffic will be forwarded to.

Gateway

The name of the nexthop device the egress traffic will be forwarded to.

Status

The route’s status, Active or Blackhole:

  • Active - The link between the route table and the nexthop device is Up, so that egress traffic can be received.

  • Blackhole - The link between the route table and the nexthop device is Down, so that egress traffic sent to the nexthop device will be lost.
