Creating a Distributed Cloud Firewall Ruleset

You need to create rulesets before adding rules to them.

You must upgrade to Controller version 8.0 to use DCF rulesets.

To create a ruleset:

  1. On the Security > Distributed Cloud Firewall > Policy tab, click Manage Rulesets.

  2. In the Manage Rulesets dialog, click + Ruleset.

  3. In the Create Ruleset dialog, configure the following:

    Field Description

    Name

    Enter a name for the ruleset.

    Place Ruleset

    Select to place the ruleset above or below an existing ruleset (if applicable), or at the top or bottom of the ruleset list

    Existing Ruleset

    If you select Above or Below in the Place Ruleset field, select a existing ruleset from this list.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Repeat steps 2-4 to create additional rulesets if needed.

  6. Click Close to close the Manage Rulesets dialog.

  7. On the Policy tab, select a ruleset from the list.

  8. You can then add rules to the ruleset.
