Troubleshooting Application Connectivity Issues with AppIQ

You can use AppIQ to generate a report that gives you visibility into network domain and traffic information between any two cloud instances that are connected by way of your Aviatrix transit network.

For the source instance and destination instance you specify, CoPilot analyzes network traffic, network domain settings, and route table configurations to provide details that help you understand any problems with the network path between the two instances.

FlightPath supports AWS, Azure, and GCP clouds, but does not support OCI.

Run AppIQ FlightPath Report for Instances

You can run a report in CoPilot for two instances using Diagnostics > AppIQ > FlightPath.

When selecting the source and destination instances to run the report against, you can specify two managed resources or one managed resource and one external resource.

When including an unmanaged resource as either the source or destination instance, the report contains FlightPath data for the managed resource.

You cannot run an AppIQ report for two unmanaged resources (both resources are external to the Aviatrix-managed network).

To run an AppIQ report for two instances:

  1. Navigate to Diagnostics > AppIQ > FlightPath.

  2. In Source, select the source instance.

  3. In Destination, select the destination instance.

  4. Select the protocol, port, and interface of the instances you want to run the report against.

  5. Click the Run AppIQ button to generate the report.
