Disabling Rollback on Gateway Creation Error

When an error occurs during a gateway creation, Aviatrix automatically rolls back all of the resources that was created during the gateway deployment process (elastic IP, storage volume, security groups, and so on) and terminates the gateway instance. However, you may want to keep the gateway instance for debugging purposes even when an error occurs during the gateway creation.

To disable rollback on gateway creation error, you need to disable this automatic rollback feature.

  1. In Aviatrix CoPilot, go to Cloud Fabric > Gateways > Settings tab.

  2. In Rollback on Gateway Creation Error, set the toggle to Off.

When you disable the automatic rollback feature, CoPilot will keep the gateway instance even after the failed deployment and continue to list the gateway instance in the gateways table. If you no longer require to keep the gateway for debugging purposes, you can delete the gateway instance in CoPilot UI and CoPilot will automatically delete all of the resources associated with the gateway instance.
