Editing the Greenfield Rule

The first time you use Distributed Cloud Firewall (DCF), a Greenfield Rule is created automatically to prevent traffic from being dropped before you start configuring the rest of your rules.

If you are using Controller 8.0, the Greenfield Rule is created in the V1 Policy List ruleset.

To edit the Greenfield Rule, click the pencil icon next to the rule. You can edit the following fields and click Save in Drafts.

  • Source and Destination Groups

  • Protocol

  • Action: Deny or Accept

  • TLS Encryption: On/Off

  • Enforce: On/Off

  • Logging: On/Off

  • Rule Priority

When you are ready to commit the rule, click Save.

Deleting the Greenfield Rule

You can delete the Greenfield Rule after creating other rules.
