Detaching Aviatrix Transit GW from TGW

This step is the opposite of Attaching an Aviatrix Transit GW to TGW. It removes the private subnet route entries respectively.

To detach an AWS TGW from a Transit Gateway:

  1. Go to Aviatrix CoPilot > Networking > Connectivity > select the AWS TGW tab > select an existing AWS TGW.

  2. Select the Attachments tab.

  3. Select the Transit Gateways tab.

  4. Find the attached Transit Gateway in the table and click the Detach icon.

  5. Click Remove.

The detachment begins. To view the task’s progress, go to Monitor > Notifications > select the Tasks tab.
